Code of Discipline

The Venaya Pitaka contains the Code of Discipline for monks and nuns. The Patimokkha is a summary of the rules as recided by the monks and nuns during the monthly assemblys. The printed version offers several nice features: (1) the text in Pali is on the left page and the corresponding text in English is on the right page; (2) Both Patimokha's (monks, nuns) is included and valuable for comparrison purposes; and, (3) all of this is contained in a small, easily managed, book. For those that do not have the complete Venaya Pitaka, this is a nice alternative.

An excellent source of information and highly readable translation of a seminal vinaya text in Pali. The bilingual printing is most appreciated and very useful for scholars.
